Camp Kinard has a number of outdoor, covered pavilion areas, all ideal for any outdoor gathering. Our Large Picnic Pavilion can accomodate up to 300 people and is conveniently located next to the primitive campground restrooms, the ballfield, walking trails, and horseshoe pits. Another pavilion area, located adjacent to the Dining Hall, consists of two medium shelters next to the playground, basketball and volleyball courts, a large field, and is less than 150 yards from the pool! Our pavilions give you the excitement of the great outdoors along with the comfort of the shade.

We hope you will enjoy our beautiful pool! Originally built with funds raised by SC Lutheran Church Youth, the pool underwent a total renovation in 2007 thanks to the generous support of Trinity Lutheran Church (Greenville, SC) and many other groups!

At Camp Kinard we are very proud of our two lakes located at the heart of camp surrounded by campgrounds, walking trails, and outdoor worship spaces. In addition to the natural beauty of the lakes, you can enjoy fishing for bass and catfish, kayaking, and paddleboating!

Although worship and celebration happen all over camp, we have two designated outdoor chapel areas along the shorelines of our lakes.The first worship space is located along the upper lake and comes complete with benches, cross and fire pit. The second worship space is on the opposite side facing the smaller lake, farther away from distraction and accessible through one of our hiking trails. With a gorgeous view, benches, and podium, this space is a wonderful get away for worship and reflection.
