We at SCLRC seek to be wise stewards of God's gifts and the resources entrusted to us. Fees for services and facilities provide approximately 80% of our receipts. A benevolence grant from the South Carolina Synod of the ELCA comprises slightly more than 13% of our receipts. More than 6% of our operating receipts come through contributions from individuals, congregations, and others. SCLRC receives no state or federal funding. Donors have provided nearly all of the support we have received for development efforts and capital improvements. In the future continued capital contributions will be vital to the planned improvements at the Coastal Retreat Center, Camp Kinard, and Biggerstaff Retreat Center.

- It's amazing what can be accomplished when you bring together a group of volunteers at one of our retreat centers for a day project at SCLRC. We have specific projects that need attention, and we have many opportunities for your group's service project. Doing a service project with SCLRC is a great way to provide community service as well as work to better the ministry of Your SC Lutheran Retreat Centers.
- Doing a group service project teaches a number a great life skills as well as Christian values. You will work together as a team, realize the importance of volunteer work and giving back to the community, and your work will enhance the quality of Retreats for participants seeking a place set apart for fellowship, devotion, and experiencing the glory of God's creation.
