Christian concern for the environment is shaped by the Word of God spoken in creation, the Love of God hanging on a cross, and the Breath of God daily renewing the face of the earth. Journey with us as we explore the ELCA Social Statement "Caring for Creation: Vision, Hope, and Justice" adopted by the 1993 Churchwide Assembly. Learn ways Camp Kinard responds and how you can answer this call! Special guests include SC's Bishop Emeritus Dr. David Donges, Lexington County's Recycling Coordinator Megan Weidner, and all the friendly faces at your SC Lutheran Retreat Centers! A delicious lunch is included with your day of activities! After lunch you'll enjoy fun camp activities including crafts, hay rides, camp fire and S'MORES! (graham cracker, chocolate, and marshmallow sandwiches) You'll also have free time to enjoy Camp Kinard's natural surrounding, spend time with friends, and unwind while rocking away on our rocking chair porch. Only $20/person. 9:30am - 3:00pm.
